Tennessee/Oklahoma State

Vols have to do 3 things to win most of the season

1) shoot the 3-pter well
2) low turnovers
3) post players stay out of foul trouble

UT 84
OSU 83

I'm predicting this to be the first loss of the Pearl era.

OSU 83 UT 74

It would be GREAT to get this one, and would probably lead to us being undefeated going into conference play.

I think it will be difficult to shoot the three that effectively in back to back road games. My biggest concern is that we have a bad night, get beaten soundly, and everyone leaps off the bandwagon. The win over Texas was great, I hope it didn't create unrealistic expectations. Oklahoma State is great at forcing teams into a halfcourt game, look at how they forced Gonzaga to play slower than they wanted.

I agree. It really is going to be tough to win this one. It seems like Pearl really wanted that Texas win and put a LOT into it.

Both had attitudes..but weren't commiting felonies. BTW, I'm all for giving a kid a second chance as well.
That's good to hear. I'll be seeing the Tar Heels live in L.A. Wednesday night against USC. One of the great benefits of a job that requires a lot of travel, I get to see a whole lot of teams.

UT gets caught reading (and believing) their own press.

OSU -- a bunch
UT -- not so many

But, this is good for you. UT gets into the tourney as a #6 seed.

It is way too early to mention the NCAA tournament.

6-8 seed is what I'd expect if this team continues to play like this
That's still a big if this early. I can't imagine this team playing as well as they did on Saturday. Seriously, that was a basketball clinic. I still wake up thinking it was all a dream. :biggrin2:

When Pearl gets some inside presence to open up the 3's even more I'd expect UT to start making the tourney annually.
