Tennessee OPENS -12.5 at Arkansas

Sorry... but that's a bait line if I've ever seen one. Arkansas ain't Miss St. Plus being a road game? With Heupel's habit of laying an egg every year... I'd bet the under.

I just hope that it is not our ‘22 South Carolina or “23 Florida game.
Yes, I’m old and I have been diagnosed with BVS.
SEC road games are never easy. I'm not taking that much of a spread. Nico has turned the ball over 4x in FBS games.

With Nico starting we’ve covered every spread folks. 5-0 including the bowl game. I think we score 40+. Offense got healthier over the bye. This will be a Nico showcase game.

Mojo, these are the same ones that continuously set themselves up for disappointment.
A lot of people talked themselves into a 3-4 touchdown blowout against Oklahoma, yet despite controlling the game from start to finish, said people were disappointed with a “boring, vanilla” 10 pt win.
I fully expecting a battle in Fayetteville and nothing less.

There is a very plausible scenario where some combination of our bye week, getting full health on OL, and Arky giving up on season leads to a 50 burger.

But, a 4 quarter dogfight is in play as well for the reasons detailed earlier....

Do we jump to #2 with a 54-7 victory?
I think we need to win just to maintain our position. Don't see us moving up further unless we win against Bama. Of course, that's assuming no one above us helps us out in some way.

They’re a couple plays away from being undefeated.

The vibe around here would be very different if they were a 5-0, top 15 team with two wins against ranked opponents. And they are very close to being that. They're going to beat someone they aren't supposed to beat this year.

That is a valid point BUT being a couple plays away from being undefeated pretty much sums up Sam Pittman. He has a history of losing one score games. BTW, the 2006 Vols were 2 plays away from being a national championship contender even though they lost 3 regular season games. See how that works? You are what your record says you are normally.

WHY is this your first thought?

What has THIS team done to make you feel like that could happen?

Well GA only beat KY by 1 point so yea, anything is possible but isn’t that why they call it gambling?

This is true however nothing about their performances has been stellar. They have made some bad mistakes. They snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.
