Tennessee passes heartbeat bill, bans abortions for babies with Down syndrome

“While there is an exception for medical emergencies, there are no exceptions in the bill for women who are victims of rape or incest.”

That right there 👆🏼is where they always lose me on this kind of thing because that is complete and utter bullshite.

So you want females to be forced to carry to term the spawn of two of the most vile things that can be forced on them.

Little Jenny is 13 and is now being forced to give birth to her own sibling because of her disgusting father.

Rachel was jogging in the park when she was dragged off the trail and raped. Now she and her husband have to deal on the daily with the extended physical results of that, along with all the other mental and emotional issues involved.

Way to effing go dumb arse lawmakers. You may have just increased the suicide rate among victims of sexual crimes.

Tennessee seems intent on giving Alabama and Mississippi a challenge for bottom position.
What a joke.

On my "States with a Clue" continuum, I always had TN over GA (which isn't saying much), but over the past several years they have certainly switched positions.

Lol. This is virtue signaling at its finest. Score some cheap points for your base until the SCOTUS strikes this down as the unconstitutional garbage it is.

I forgot only Black Lives Matter, for a minute there I thought we were having a “dialogue about treating others with respect and dignity”; carry on. We should kill as many non blacks as possible, especially cops

Are you surprised? Anti-abortion laws are the most misogynistic garbage there is.

We're trying to run off the liberals

Not really, unfortunately. That kind of crap activates my inner female warrior and causes me to wish very bad things on those involved so that maybe, just maybe, their minuscule minds can grasp some understanding of just how violating to the core those crimes are and why you absolutely cannot continue to violate the victims via asinine laws.

Abortion should not ever be a substitute for birth control and I’ll support certain legislation addressing that rampant societal problem, but offering no support for victims of violent sex crimes royally pisses me the eff off.

Tennessee will "fight like heck," to quote Phil Fulmer, to get on the wrong side of history.

Most single women should know...

I had to step away for a minute to compose myself.

Ras, I really hope I’m just missing the blue font intention in that due to my current irritation, but if not...

What the hell? Aunt Flo is an extremely fickle wench and not every female is on a strict monthly timeline due to a variety of factors from medical to emotional to just plain everyday life stressors. The defined normal cycle even has a seven day variance built in from 21 to 28 days. Ask any female if they stayed on time all year long or had time variances during their senior year of HS or College and that’s just with an external stress situation. To say that at six weeks any female should know she’s pregnant is just completely asinine.

Women in my family have had to go on the pill for regulating that, some of them during their early teen years.
Such things are not figured into a mindset of people who adhere to generalizations and absolutes.

So true.

There is no point in passing legislation which won't hold up under scrutiny in court. Such an obvious waste of time can only be explained as political pandering and posturing during an election year.

I'm extremely anti abortion but I agree with you hundred percent here

Contrary to popular opinion on here, not all women are whores. Mistakes happen.
How does someone accidentally fertilize an egg?

OK, here is my blue font.

If she's had a penis penetrate her within the last 6 weeks, then there is a decent chance that she should know. How hard is it for a single woman not to know that?
