Tennessee QB Tyler Bray faces important NFL decision...

If Worley knew he was #1 and got 1st team reps, he would be fine. I think he is much smarter in the pocket. He spreads the ball around better. He does not always look for the 45 yard fade route 1st. I would not be surprised a bit if Bray were to stay and Worley took the job from him.

Great? Seriously? Standards here really have fallen.
He was 8 of 11. One of the misses was the interception, and another hit Hunter in the face mask in the end zone. If Hunter had put his hands in front of his face, that would have been 9 of 11. You must have high standards. I wonder if some of the fans would give him credit if he was 11 of 11.

Called out by USA Today:
"So, too, are his immaturity and questionable leadership skills. Nobody is going to throw millions in guaranteed money at him until he proves he is committed to the game."

This makes me feel good for some reason. :)

He could end up being the next "RYAN LEAF" but without the bipolar disorder.

Yes. My standards for greatness are higher than 8-11 with an INT. Not bashing Worley but come on. Great?

Here are the some stats showing where Bray ranks this year against other SEC quarterbacks.

Yards per pass attempt: 8th in SEC less than 2 yards ahead of the worst- James Franklin , Missouri. McCarron and Murray 2 yards more.

Pass Efficiency Rating: 6th in the SEC. In the country, he is way behind McCarron and Murray.

Pass completion percentage: 9th of 12 in SEC. At 59.5%, he is only 1.2% ahead of the worst, James Franklin -Missouri, and 8% below the best.

He has thrown 12 interceptions, which is more than anyone except one other, but he does have the most attempts.

What I get from all this, is that he likes to throw a lot, doesn't complete very many, and doesn't gain very many yards , when you take into account all of his attempts. He is like a guy that averages 20 points a game in basketball by hitting 6 of 20 - 3 pointers, and 1 of 3 two pointers. Yes, he averages 20 a game, but he misses 16 shots, and never leads his team to victory.

I'm not the one who said that Worley had a great game, but I think that it was a solid performance. But, it was great compared to Bray in that game though. Bray was 11 of 29 with 2 interceptions, and an average of 3.6 yards per pass attempt. Rodgers averaged 9.4 yards per attempt for Vandy.

You can't judge a qb on one game.

I never said that you could. I was answering Orange Blazer because he was saying that Worley didn't perform that well against Vandy, and I said that he did better than Bray. If you want to judge Bray over the course of the season, go back a couple of posts and see where he ranks against other SEC qb's in some stats. He is way down the list on some important categories.

The idiots who call Worley (Gatorade player of the year) trash are the same people who were begging for Crompton to come in for Ainge.

Stats are misleading, You take out all the hunter drops and everyone of those go up. Bray has put us in a position to win games and our defense makes him seem like garbage.

Bray isn't the only qb with receiver drops. Part of the drops are because he throws so hard. He might be able to take a little off of some of his passes.

U.T. had a chance to win some games at the end like Georgia, So. Carolina, Missouri, and Miss. State. At the end the offense stalled or turned the ball over every time. Some of it was his fault, some was the fault of others. A lot can be blamed to play calling.

Against Missouri, we had the ball with the lead and 5 minutes to run off the clock. We ran off 40 seconds on a three and out, and gave it back to them for the tie. Against Miss. State, Riveira failed to field a short kickoff, giving them the ball on our 35, and Young fumbled on our 30. Darr had about a 12 yard punt. Against So. Carolina, Bray gets blindsided and fumbles at the very end. I don't remember how we lost to Georgia, but I believe that we had the ball with a chance to tie late.

And yes, the defense was the worst that I have ever seen, and I have seen most games for the last 45 years. Most of the problems can be laid at the feet of the defense, but the offense failed at crunch time, too. Also, Chaney seems to forget the running game at crucial times. It was a dysfunctional team this year.

There is not a throw that bray cannot make. People said it when he came out of high school and they say it now. The quarterback play was not the problem this year and if you believe it to be then I hope your children are born with mullets. Bray would have had to be literally perfect in every game this year to give the team a chance, and if people are going to jump down a student athletes throat for not being perfect then this board needs to be shut down.

Worley has plenty of arm on him. I don't think it's fair to call a guy whose gotten little experience except during Vandy and when the entire 2nd/3rd string team is in trash.

EXACTLY! He has an NFL arm, but not an NFL brain...yet!
He needs another year.

Agree. He gets rattled way too easy.
If Bray gets any pressure put on him.he is as nervous as a pregnant ho in a little old fashion Church of God on a Sunday morning.
