I noticed Longwood received one vote in the AP today. Any chance it wasn’t their coach? :D

I think it’s a pretty good draw comparatively speaking, at least looking at it to make an Elite 8.

Our potential matchups…
14 Longwood 3/4
6 Colorado State 4/4
11 Michigan 2/4
2 Villanova 2/4
7 Ohio State 2/4
10 Loyola Chicago 2/4

Loyola and Villanova are the only Top 25 KenPom teams we’d face

Colorado ST isn’t far off and in the net their even closer.

But how many top 25 teams would you “normally” have to face to get there? I would think usually two.

However this time if it all plays out the #5 and #6 team will have to face off in the sweet 16……..that’s almost crazy. That’s basically the equivalent of an elite 8 matchup.

Barne’s problem has always been that he can’t get it done in the tournament. The committee knows that and they took that into their consideration. Last time we were a 3 seed we lost in the 2nd round when we had a super easy path to the Final 4. Barnes has made 3 tournaments at UT and his record is 3-3, every loss to a lower seed.

I don't think that tells the whole story. If you look close at those losses, when they were a 3 seed they lost to a team that made it to the final 4, and the other two losses were to elite 8 teams. Basically, the teams they lost to were underrated in every instance. I don't think there is that much difference between a 2 or a 3, they just need to play the game the way they know how and they will do well. Also, they can use this as additional incentive - prove they are better than "the committee" thinks. This team seems to be peaking at the right time, more that the other ones were, so I have high hopes for this tourney. GBO.

We are peaking at just the right time.
I watched the replay on espn today. We played really good defense. They did a great job out front on their guards. Excellent play Congrats guys. My son who was born in 1980 texted me they had won and were SEC champs. I told him he wasn't even born the last time they won the SEC tourney.

That poster isn't interested in the whole story. Just the surface.

They won’t even have to justify it because there is no accountability. There is no transparency. There is no press conference where anyone will be grilled.

It’s just a farce. Always has been, always will be.
100%. Lack of transparency and accountability leads to stuff we are seeing.
