I think she comes from a baseball family, she swings like a baseball player more so than a softball player. She is not at the plate to just make contact.

As Brian said, all games are televised. SEC+ opening game vs KY and closing game SC. Everything else is TV.

Lair is just in a mini slump and last night she just wasn't seeing their pitchers. She will come round. The one at bat last night where she was called on to move the runners everyone knew it including VT so there is no need to be slap bunting or moving while bunting. Just make sure to get it down and get the job done. Don't make the job harder for no real benefit. Not a big fan of the short game in modern softball but there are times to move runners. LSU last night did most everything right last night against Oklahoma but they are caught this year without power in most of their lineup. Makes it really hard to have come backs against good teams and pitching.

What is amazing about this game was the box score that revealed that OK won the game with 2 hits and LSU lost the game with 3 hits. Of course, one of OK hits was a two-run bomb. The OK machine keeps rolling.

It has become a fact to win the big games in softball you have to be able to pop out it of the park. That way one swing can change the game. We use to get three slap hits in an inning but could not score.

No not a fan of using it in a game at all. It doesn't feel natural more like your handicapped in your swing.

This is purely a guess....coach had a few players doing the drill to get a feel for what each hand does in the swing. They probably liked the feel enough that they just took it to the game. I have done it with a few players that seemed to get long in their swing and it seemed to help. When you do it enough it doesn't seem as awkward.
