I never really thought the guy behind the plate was that good, but my goodness he looks like the best ump ever after yesterday.

Yes, if she gets back in the groove we can have all 3 pitchers to rely on down the stretch run. Didn't realize till yesterday Pickens throws in the mid 70's???

Great series sweep! Need to win last three series and regular season title is ours. Top of order bats booming and glad to see a gem by Payton. Let’s see if KiKi isn’t on that POY list now!!! Happy to see Jenna in at 2B for an inning but would love to see what Brylee could do at the plate. Scary to think if we had Gracie and Taylor. On to Kennesaw and then the big series.

Several random thoughts:

Payton Gotteshall pitched a great game today. Should have been a one hit shutout but our shift misplayed the hit into a triple. Payton probably improved her (SEC only) ERA significantly. Going into the game she was over 4.

Ashley Rogers has #1 ERA in SEC.
K. Pickens has #2 ERA in SEC.
Payton Gotteshall was in 20's but will improve after today.

Class move by Karen to allow several freshmen to bat in an attempt to limit runs.

With 13 hits today we probably raised our BA several points. It was 218 (SEC only) with league average at 241. However, we had 60 walks and 15 HBP going into todays game. We lead the league in walks by a significant number. With that many walks OB% seems to be more important than BA. Our OB% (SEC only) is 352. The league average is 334. All of our numbers will go up after today's game.

9 games left in the SEC race and we have a 3.5 game lead. Got to be feeling pretty good at this point for only our 2nd ever SEC title. Georgia can win all 6 remaining games and we just need to win each series. If GA drops a game, LVs can even lose a series and still win the title.

Possible…Kennesaw shouldn’t be taken lightly, upset Alabama earlier. Karen will want to get ahead so she might not trust White with her being almost three weeks since she’s seen live action.
