The fact that every swing and miss has been on a rise out of the zone is beyond me. I always tell players if you foul or swing & miss to ask the ump to see if that would have been a strike so you know if you see that same pitch again to swing or not

FSU pitcher called for 5 illegal pitches in the inning after having none called all year ….. and we still can’t score on her lol

Just because umps haven’t been calling it all year doesn’t mean she isn’t illegal. Same thing happened with Kenzie Fowler and Jordan Taylor

They changed that rule a couple years ago. I had forgotten about it.

I thought the runners would advance as well but I’m not that well versed with softball rules. That is the rule though?

So their coach obviously believes that because the illegal pitches haven't been called all year then they shouldn't be called. And got all snippy with the "if that's a tactic ..." comment.

Not cool. Just teach your players to pitch legally, wench! Their pitchers are getting an unfair advantage with that delivery, and it definitely shouldn't be okay for one team to abide by the rules and the other team not.

I’m not an expert so can’t comment. To be honest, our pitcher seems to be leaving the rubber too so I’m useless, .
