That was a wrong call, rule book or no rule book. As a runner less than 2 outs on a deep fly you go back to tag so you can advance to the next bag. In that situation if the ball is caught at the warning track if she didn’t go back she would’ve not been able to advance. On a high pop fly home runs with a runner on 1B less than 2 out watch every time that almost happens. The hitter doesn’t stop before touching 1B. But everyone in the ball park knew the ball was gone. You got to be a smarter base runner. Please explain why it’s ok for 2 base runners to be in the bag at the same time then. As long as they didn’t make contact or miss the bag there is no out on that play.
We need a true DH that can hit and who cares if that is her only position. We are wasting the DH spot with a hitter in the position.
