I'm really not seeing a difference between pitches last year and now except the umpires seem to be actually calling the strikes instead of sitting on their thumbs and rotating.

On an unrelated note, Duke stomped Florida State's unimpressive pitching and just think, they have to play them two more times this weekend. By the end, Florida State should drop out of the top 25. Woe is me Florida State. Your days of glory are over.

Yep and the jury is still out on the young freshman. Give her time . She has seen good pitchers for on a month or so. I do not know the young lady or the family but she will be fine and we will see where she ends up!

I sat behind the plate of one Baylor game last year. There was an older lady ump and she was scared she was going to get hit and was bailing out on the inside pitches. Karlyn was really good for a freshman last year. She has more control this year and better movement. The game the announcers were playing up was Karlyn and Cagle going at it but there was no Cagle at Sherri Parker Lee Stadium.

She’s keeping it simple. A change up is nice to keep players guessing, especially if you can throw it on command. She’s still a hard inside at the knees with a screw ball or FB and with her speed hitters don’t have long to think.

Maybe she has. Brockenbrough is caught up in the shifting of players to put the best 9 in the order. Really good player but with Puni as the DH it leaves players on the bench. Can’t take Mealer or West out and Pannell’s bat/power keep her in the OF. It doesn’t take away from being a nice player because she is. Numbers for OF aren’t in her favor.
