In 5 SEC games (36 innings) Tennessee's pitching staff has given up three runs.

Alana Vawter won 76 games while at Stanford. She has another 8 wins at South Carolina.

Granted it's a long season; however, this is a special team. Hopefully, we can stay healthy. Go Lady Vols!

I did not notice that. I put out the question of if and why Karen did even recruit her while she was at Farragut. lefties are needed always i thought with her record good while at Farragut. Why TTech?

Former Tech coach gave her an offer too good to pass up from all the offers she had, I was told. Tennessee knew about her, but was set on just taking Pickens at the time. Charli came many months later.

Did Puni hit the 2nd hole again? That is a very weird spot to put a power hitter who's not hitting for average--at least now--and who
doesn't run well. I assume that there is no requirement in collegiate softball that a pinch runner enter the game? They can be used as often
as a coach wants?

Saviya Morgan has an individual goal this season. The Tennessee softball signee wants her name in the TSSAA record books as the state's single season stolen base record. The Columbia Central senior came close her freshman season, just five stolen bases short of Beech graduate Heather Montgomery’s record of 73, which she set in 2012.

...Saviya has been one of the top high school softball players in the Nashville area for years now. Morgan’s performances on the diamond have placed her name across the Columbia Central record books and ultimately earned her a spot on Tennessee's softball team next season as a college signee.

...This season Saviya has already recorded multiple games with five stolen bases and on Tuesday night she added three more against Lincoln County. Despite the defense being well aware of Morgan's intentions on base, there's little that can be done to stop her once she's taken off. And that speed works in the outfield, where she roams waiting to snag fly balls.
