Magic number is five. Florida plays A&M a three game series so one of them is going to lose more games. Need Georgia to beat Florida next weekend. Then Florida to beat A&M. Or we just need to win five for the outright title.

Maybe her hitting is coming around. I have always gave her props for her fielding but adding a good bat would be awesome. As Kregman noted taking the ball to the opposite field is a good way to get hits. Trying to pull outside pitches usually ends badly.

Pickens deserves a lot of credit. Without run support she kept battling, and they made her work a lot more than our batters were doing.

@kregman good question. I assume it is tied to frustration.

During G's at bat one of the pitches was borderline but called high. Beth went to the mound to make her frustration visible. When walking back to the dugout she expressed her feelings to the home plate umpire. He gave her a warning. When G got the double, she came out of the dugout and said, "That's on you" pointing to the home plate umpire. She said it several times which got her thrown out.

There is additional frustration mounting because LSU has won at least three National Championships in the last 13 months.

Women's basketball ( last year)

Just like our AD, LSU's AD is looking for championships. Although, they played us to the wire, their softball team has underperformed especially this year.

I thoroughly enjoyed the game today, and that sweet hit by Giulia Koutsoyanopulos was so darn clutch it made me leave my chair for a little happy dance.

Great series win against the seventh-ranked team in the nation watched by many on ESPN. Love this team!
