Tennessee Softball 2024

Remember Karen used to mostly coach slappers years ago, and was quite good at it. I think at times she has been slow to adjust to slapping being a thing of the past. Even moreso now with the rules over being out of the box.

With the new rules UT spend too much time and effort trying to develop slappers. If they want one or two then recruit natural slappers which also means speed. Not bigger slower girls trying to slap.

It’ll be very interesting with a lot more pitchers coming in the next few years how Karen and Megan manage them.

I love Charli but dont see any way she can be much help to us if we get a portal pitcher. Seems to be a great young lady and an inspiration in the dugout !

There are different things that go in that decision. Sometimes even the player turns it down due to conflicts.

UT can never get pitching and hitting to sync. Great pitching=average hitting, Great hitting=average pitching. But in Softball pitching is still the name of the game.

Think we can still pass Duke and LSU if we win at Bama and against Kentucky at home. I can see us getting to number three but that seems to be the ceiling as Texas and Oklahoma will be one and two.

We should really up the hitting on the Bama and Kentucky pitching staffs. Both are staffs we should dominate against.

Hopefully tonight our offense can feel good about themselves again & gain some confidence going to alabama this weekend. I do think that payton & karlyn should not be put in this game. I think a Orsini/White combo should be efficient enough, hey if we have a big enough lead why not throw in Flatford in there. Big confidence game tonight
