Tennessee Softball 2024

This is what i expected to happen as well. I mean it is always helpful as a player to have a coach who has played on the same field as you and achieved success. I wonder who Karen will go after as a hitting coach.
I’d anticipate that as the move.

*pending her softball commitments and bar.

We are still heavy in numbers. Does a player like Destiny look for a new place with Chris and Kate.
I was just wondering this as well. I mean i speculate with Mealer/Faw holding the middle infield next year and some good freshman coming in Destiny was maybe the odd one out. Lots to figure out in the coming weeks: hitting coach and transfers

Last I heard, she was still playing this summer and then focusing on the bar. Although I’m sure she would have interest on both sides, not 100% sure.

Not so fast, maybe rather than looking Auburn up through google earth you should actually take in a game there. Mickey was at Auburn for 7 years and the indoor was just built 2 years ago and this year the locker room and additional stadium seating was added to hold up to 2,500. That is well after Meyers era. Actually Auburn is one of the nicer facilities currently in the SEC and Mickey was in the top half of coaching salaries. Just a quick current events lesson for you this morning
I went to five games there this year. I also know for a fact what the two coaches that were interested in the job demanded and turned down the job over. You can take it or leave it.

Personally the gimmick drills aren’t working. I think they need to go back to the basics. And I would hire Marc Weekly back. The power numbers weren’t there with Marc but the averages were much higher. Regardless change needs to happen for this team to make the next step.
Now I know you’re a troll. This is the funniest thing I’ve ever read.

My first call would be to Mike Lewis at VT. He’s an associate head coach right now so not sure how willing he’d be to even entertain the call. But he’s revolutionized VT’s offense and would keep the philosophy similar for the returners in terms of continuing to focus on slugging

Tennessee softball didn't finish the season the way we hoped or envisioned. I'll admit, I had an uneasy feeling after seeing Alabama seeded 14th knowing we had just won two of three games in the series in Tuscaloosa. I was pulling for Clemson!

After a grueling 24 game schedule of conference foes, in which we demonstrated we were the best team, having to play Alabama again seemed like an unnecessary made for TV drama. When the smoke cleared our record against Alabama for the 2024 season stood at 3 and 3. Yes, the loss in the Super Regionial can be attributed to our inability to get a timely hit in the marathon game. When that happens, change may be a good thing. The Malveaux 's contract (which was for three years) terminated this year. They accomplished their objective and got a great head coaching job. I wish them well and would not be surprised to see them make an immediate impact at Auburn.

Some fans feel like we underachieved, maybe we did. However in the 24 game SEC schedule no team (including Florida) had a batting average over 300.

Florida ba was 297. Tennessee finished second at 268. This is why having to play Alabama again to win the Super Regional was so disappointing.

When you look at all 56 games Tennessee played, we finished sixth in the league with a ba of 289. Only Florida (ba 330) and Texas A&M (ba 306) were above 300.
