Tennessee Softball 2024

What is the purpose of this? Looks like she knew she leaves early. Then hesitated and she take off. Wild throw by the catcher.(aphasia explanation lol)

I wish i knew for sure but you are probably right!! No reason to leave early on delayed or whatever. Kiki does it most every time she steals.

Delayed steal.
I know that's what the announcer said, Kiki following to give her cover during the steal. I'm skeptical. lol

Then your frame of reference must be pretty small.

Have you watched games, or are you looking at the stats alone? 6 errors committed so far in 16 games. In watching several of those games, several of those were on throws after coming up with balls that most players wouldn't. The numbers are what they are, but without the context of actually watching how they are achieved, they're useless. She's obviously not going to play if she never gets a hit, but her at-bats this weekend and yesterday are night-and-day from what we saw the first two weekends.

I'm glad the coaches don't give up on kids as quickly as this board does.

We learn that from Karen Weekly

I agree with most all of your comments, and I appreciate that you take up for the players and coaches. However, I disagree with a couple of your comments above.

I think there's a fair number of SS's that have a similar range as Faw, but what she has that many of the others don't is a strong arm and quick release... and a few of the recent errors have been when she's rushed her throws when she didn't need to (the relatively simple double play with the bad throw to first was one of those plays). jmo... but it looked like she had time to square her feet and get balanced before making the throw. One of her other errors was also a high throw to first iirc.

Secondly, I think there's primarily only a few posters that tend to give up on the team/players/coaches too quickly. Lets not group the rest of the fans who post in this forum with those few. There's clearly a lot of die-hard, supportive softball fans among this group.
