14 errors in past 15 games. That averages to about one a game… pretty good math for someone so obtuse.Yer feeding the troll, Rick.
Took everything I had to not respond to them when I came across it earlier, so I understand. She carried a no hitter through 6 2/3 innings, yet defense was sloppy? Thats totally obtuse.
I know it is scored an error but missing a fly ball in the sun IMO is not an error. She was in position just couldn't see it. Played OF in my ball career so I am more sympathetic to OF's. Taking bad angles or not reacting in time contributes to errors.I'm the furthest thing from a troll. I was just stating a fact. You can't miss fly balls. They have to be automatic outs period.
I agree. It takes a real fan to snip at the heels of the players when they don't execute the way some posters feel they should.I know it is scored an error but missing a fly ball in the sun IMO is not an error. You can go back and count the pageS dedicated to the boo birds about G’s “hitting” and Faw’s errors… Or this year why is Saviya leading off.. you could compile a book with the number of pagesI agree. Player performance is open to criticism and sometimes it is warranted. The fly ball was just an unfortunate incident that was not player performance it was an incident beyond her control which can sometimes comes into play for a fielder. She is far from the first to become a victim of it. She is a terrific outfielder we should not fault her ability for a ball lost in the sun. It happens. You are one of the few on here I took seriously. But I guess if it comes down to post count over softball knowledge… I guess most everyone here has me beat then![]()

Regardless that play has to be made in order to improve the D. FYI, it was scored a triple and a earned run. She also miss played a foul ball in the corner. I'm not picking on her, that's just a few plays that need to be made in order to improve the D. I also stated that she threw a missile to home to save game 1. I'm not saying she shouldn't start, she just needs to make the routine plays also. She also needs to hit in order to stay in the lineup.I know it is scored an error but missing a fly ball in the sun IMO is not an error. She was in position just couldn't see it. There’s nothing routine about the sun in your face. If you have to shield your eyes to attempt to make the play, routine is gone.Regardless that play has to be made in order to improve the D. That play has to be made, period. You practice that on a daily basis. I also didn't say that particular play was routine. The foul ball that she miss played was routine. I'm not here to bash her, like I said she saved game 1 with a Awesome throw to the plate. There’s nothing routine about the sun in your face. If you have to shield your eyes, routine is gone.
Do they? You can practice the technique but you can’t simulate the sun. That play has to be made, period. You practice that on a daily basis. I also didn't say that particular play was routine. Period? Your opinion is not mine so NO PERIOD.That play has to be made, period. You practice that on a daily basis. I also didn't say that particular play was routine. I am, you can refer to it however. Nothing routine about battling the sun directly. It’s parts of the game and works against both teams, I just won’t chalk it up to routine. Are we rlly gonna sit here and act like that ball she missed wasn’t routine? It was a simple pop fly, one in which she misread. Sure the sun probably affected it but she’s gotta make that play.
It was scored as a triple and an earned run because the rulebook literally says that losing the ball in the sun is not an error. You can check the PDF of the rulebook on the NCAA website.Regardless that play has to be made in order to improve the D. FYI, it was scored a triple and a earned run. I don't need a freaking rule book to know that needs to be caught. Everybody don't have to agree, it's OK to have a different opinion.
