@DeerPark Thanks coach Weekly, I appreciate your time to come on hear and defend your decision. Why play in events where there’s top rank teams then, we could just play events like last weekend in Texas and inflate our stats and save our pitching. No you need to play top teams for RPI seeding. So why are we playing top teams if we are not playing to win. That hurts more than not playing them. It’s a culture and if a coach doesn’t care about winning and saving players they need to go. That’s not the Tennessee way. That was a clown justification to say we are saving her for conference. A win against UCLA could mean more to playoff seedings than conference wins if UCLA runs the table the rest of the season. If we’re reheating what won back to back regular season championships in the toughest conference in the country, then sign me up for another cup of it.
If you look back at the 2024 thread, people were saying the exact same thing this time last year. Who knows what will happen over the next three months, but writing it off today like people did last year because of two games at an elite tournament is also living in an alternate reality.I admire your dedication to protecting the coaching but you are living in an alternate reality if you think we are going to win the Sec again this year. That’s fine though get the highest seed you can and go.
Win against UCLA means more than conference wins when you’re going to play multiple games against top five teams in conference? I get being upset about losing the game, but acting like this is the only opportunity all year against a top five team is nonsense.@DeerPark Thanks coach Weekly, I appreciate your time to come on hear and defend your decision. If every game doesn’t maters then why play them??? I feel we had our chance to win against Nebraska, Oregon and UCLA. And the coaching decisions played a factor into all 3 losses.Win against UCLA means more than conference wins when you’re going to play multiple games against top five teams in conference? I get being upset about losing the game, but acting like this is the only opportunity all year against a top five team is nonsense.
The concern is that we play in a toughest conference and have come up short by lack of hitting or questionable decisions. Beating up on mid level helps for reps and stats, you commented just a few days ago about the run rules as an accomplishment when another poster said they better be ready for this weekend. The way TN lost to Nebraska, Oregon, UCLA is a test to how they matchup against better teams. I don’t expect them to be 3-0, but didn’t expect them to be 0-3. We have more opportunities with big games, but those games could also show how far we are too. Which is my concern today, that we go as far as Pickens can take us.Win against UCLA means more than conference wins when you’re going to play multiple games against top five teams in conference? I get being upset about losing the game, but acting like this is the only opportunity all year against a top five team is nonsense.

You keep saying pitch count, which is not accurate. Imagine she’ll be on a batter count today as well.@DeerPark12
Please explain your comment about saving Pickens for conference play. She was on a pitch count last night but going in this game that should go to one of the freshman. You can’t make this up
