Tennessee Vols Basketball Recruiting

I edited and added him this morming, I didn’t have him on the original list...I’m thinking he’s a new addition as a result of the English hiring.
Look at you being fast with the updates. lol. Good to know, though. Thanks for the clarificiation.

Looks like the 20 class is shaping up to be a real good one.........based on need and ranking anyway.

Who said a great regular season, but losing in the sweet 16, gets you nothing.

Yup, meant to post that the other day, actually thought I had...according to VQ staff is focused on Olivier Robinson-Nkahmoua and Jalen Cone.

Robinson -Nkahmoua is OV’ing May 3rd and Cone the following weekend.
.
If Cone comits, will they still take a comit from ORN with Grant and Bone still unsure of coming back?

I believe they will, I think they’re planning that both are gone, but I could be wrong...will be interesting to watch play out.

Interesting to see you change your thinking on Grant.

I would cheer so loudly if he was picked 12th as the mock mentioned ealier.

I have huge respect for GW and wish him the highest draft selection possible, but I will be shocked if he’s top 12.

I didn’t think he would go that high, or even close to it...I’ve always said if he’s first round he will go imo, I just didn’t think he would be as high as he is getting projections to be.

I'm going to be honest, nothing excites me about the Olivier Robinson-Nkamhoua kid. His highlights and ranking make it difficult to imagine the offers he claims (Illinois, Pitt, Maryland, Minnesota, Arkansas, and Tennessee, among others).

I'd almost rather hold the scholarship or find a grad transfer. Ihnen was much more intriguing, to me.

I get the feeling that a lot of our evaluations consist of CRB saying, "hey, I want to coach that kid." I don't mean that in a bad way, but I think it flies in the face of how we approach it as a fan base.

He’s visited/has visit scheduled to most/all those schools, so I assume they’re legit offers...fwiw Rob Lewis spoke highly of him and said he thinks he’s a fringe 4* talent based on conversations he’s had.

James, Burns( he is basically part of this class since he resdhirted) , and Cone (hopefully) is a great foundation esp with the 2020 class looking great for TN. I wish Keon Johnson would pull the trigger for the Vols soon.

IDK, the film I've seen when Olivier Robinson-Nkamhoua is healthy looks pretty good to me. If he hadn't broken his leg that first summer he was in the US, he would've gotten a lot of attention then.

I'm just not wowed by the competition in the footage I've seen. I keep telling myself this is the same coach who correctly evaluated Grant Williams, so he has my trust. With Williams, the footage affirmed to me that he belonged. I don't see a lot to get excited about with ORN. I want to be wrong, though.

If he adds 25 pounds and continues to develop an outside shot then I think he will be a fine stretch 4. Or even a big 3 with his ball skills. I say he is a take.

Yeah, I know I shouldn't doubt the coaches evals. I just don't love what I see, so far.

Just doesn't seem like an upper-level SEC big, to me. We definitely are flush at the 3 position, so we really need him to be a 4. I guess I just hate to take him now, knowing he needs time to develop, most likely, knowing we are potentially sitting on a monster class for 2020. This kid taking a spot in 2019 reduces that number by 1, and I'm just not convinced he's worth that, IMO. Obviously, subject to change, but that is my initial impression.
