Tennessee Vols Basketball Recruiting

Can you imagine how good this kid would be here?

Seems like the type of recruit you’d have to play dirty for.

Barnes isn’t the type of coach who tries to bend the rules which nothing is wrong with that.

He is a white kid from Minnesota. Just tell him we have more summer and less winter. He will jump on board.

Did he have that reputation at his previous stops?
Ya know, I'm not actually sure of that. I'll admit, I didn't really pay attention to him at Indiana a ton other than when IU would grab headlines while he was there (usually bad). Would be interested to find out from someone who followed him/them, though

Same reason why Smart got there and is neck and neck with Saban recruiting...Georgia is crawling with talent...hire guys with area connections and you’re good to go.
So nothing shady? I mean I'm not naive to the purity of college basketball recruiting but there are different levels. Just seems odd that they're recruiting at that level, even better than us it appears.

Why has GA been so successful recruiting? Are they investing a lot of money in recruiting?
As we all witnessed this year they have major holes, with the point guard spot being a glaring weakness in particular. They have a very quick path to PT but for Anthony Edwards (5*) it's his home state with a new coach with some prestige and the addition of Northeastern graduate transfer Donnell Gresham should provide some depth to their backcourt. It's an opportunity for Edwards to make his mark because he might be a one year rental (one and done) and also nick claxton declared. They only have one scholarship remaining after taking 5 this cycle but if Claxton doesn't return it will be interesting to see what route they pursue because they will need a big guy

I don’t think it’s anything shady...again, compare the number of Top 100 players in Georgia to the number in Tennessee. Then remember that anyone in Memphis is typically going to Memphis so might as well not count them.

If a school is having "unprecedented" success in recruiting, it's because they're cheating.

Personally, I would love to cheat.
