Unfortunately that hotbed just so happens to be in the city where he is coach. Most good middle or east Tennessee talent still goes our way or at least a good amount. We need Penny to suck this year. As the state university, it is so frustrating to have a hotbed of basketball talent in your state and not be able to capitalize on it.

Precious Achiuwa will be next for Penny/Memphis
Precious Achiuwa, Montverde Academy, Small Forward
that will take our class from #5 to #1...Penny wants to lock down his two home towns...Memphis and Orlando (from his time with the Magic)
Memphis 2019 Basketball Commits
sorry, I don't Buttchug.
From the archives: UT's case of the 'butt-chugging' frat brothers
guys like Tubby and Barnes are 'old school' and there's nothing wrong with that...

I don't doubt it. I certainly meant no disrepect- I've actaullly always liked Penny, he's a class act. But in all honesty, Memphis being good makes things harder for us ha.
ExactlyBarnes isn’t necessarily old school. He took a lot of one and two and dones at Texas. He just got frustrated with the ones who thought they could jump and weren’t patient enough to stay and get better. He demands perfection and not all high level kids want to take his coaching. 5 star committed this year, and a 5 star committed next year.
Look at the freshman class if u include Burns and Plavsic since both will be redshirt freshman. Thats pretty dang good. 2020 class needs to be top 15 and it probably will.
