Yeah, I think so, too. Key is not really an on-ball guard. More in the Vescovi mold.

Key has tools to be a PG but he is a natural scorer and does not have ideal quickness at the 1. But overall he is a very good basketball player.

From what I see it’s between us and Texas Tech for Key. If that’s the case I don’t see a home state guy choosing Texas tech over a program that’s just as good right now in his own backyard. I’d really like to get him. He’s probably an upgrade from VBJR. Key, Phillips, and Collins(mystery PG I’m assuming). Get those guys and we should be pretty solid next year.

So 2 spots (as of today) available. Seems we're looking at a mystery PG (assumed to be Collins), Key, Phillips (HS), and potentially Murray from LSU if Phillips isn't a lock.

I wouldn't be shocked, but Basilio has hit on several basketball-related items ahead of the field in the last year. He's usually a gas bag, but he does dig in the weeds for actual info, and has demonstrated that he has sources in or around the basketball department enough that he gets some good info.

Basilio does have a couple sources inside the basketball program. That’s a big reason why our SID and Tony don’t seem to care for each other. Tom is mad about the internal leaks.

"Not a good fit" because...? He can be a good fit for what UT needs. He is not a go-to player at this level. That is true. That is not what will be expected of him. He can certainly fill a role for UT.

Yuri is only doing the NBA evaluation. There is no way he'll leave SLU once the eval is over!

Its not disrespect it what he is. He's a solid defender but can't finish at the basket. He's also really slow footed.

The dude is 7 feet tall and 250.... of course, he is slow-footed. You just described 90% of every 7 footer in the country. Can't finish at the basket? He shot 57 percent from the field and contributed 14 mins a game for us in the post If someone had said he'd contribute as much as he did this season before the season the haters woulda said no way..He stepped up. Stop hating on our players.. he went from 5(garbage time) mins a game his first 2 years to 14 mins a game in 21 starts. He played in 35/35 games for us ZZ, Santi and BHH are the only others that played in all 35 games.. He showed up and stepped up... put some respect on his name.

It angers me seeing folks spitting on the guys that are here playing their asses off for us because we wish they played better or we had some other guy that's not here. He contributed a lot to the success this team had this year both on and off the court. Some contributions don't always show u in stat lines.
