Yeah the lack of PG play was an issue. But I think Keon or Springer with more off-season prep and a longer season to figure out things one could have emerged.

But Santi was the smallest guard on the team. Bailey was actually contributing, Pons is arguably the most elite defender we've had in the Barnes era, we had 7 players scoring 8 or more ppg, and all 7 of them were getting 25mpg or more.

Granted we lacked size/rebounding...but maybe Uros emerges at the 5 sooner with more practice. Hell maybe EJ or even ON would have contributed more.

Just sucks how things unfolded for that team. Basically no off-season to practice had to pause and push the season opener back and scramble last minute to find opponents. Not sure they would have gotten any further, but having two NBA stud guards with great size and athleticism would have been a far better season for them I think. Not to mention losing Fulky to Florida shortened what post-season they did play.

I don't have "one source" I've lived in Knoxville my entire life. I have multiple sources and they all backed it up. And like i said if i'm wrong the mod can ban me from the forum.

O my god.Torn apart on an internet message board. Is there any way anyone would ever recover. And if he's right can he end the use of the T word by the Pumpers?

The trolls and haters keep at it even though TN just won an SECT for the first time in 43 years and are competitive with every other team in the NCAA. Being positive about the program isn’t being a Pumper even though the idjits keep repeating that crap. Legions. Of. The. Miserable.

Oh, I'm not paying any attention to him, and replying to your post had nothing to do with him.

Everyone is posting about Yuri, so I thought I'd jump in with that picture because I was curious where we stood.

I’d say that adding any SPECIFIC recruit is a low probability (we still aren’t UNC, Duke, UK, or KY getting first picks). The dominos have to fall. The staff could be adding more unknowns as they’ve done recently. Yuri would be great, but an unknown foreign player could end up taking that spot. I do think that Key could be greater than 50%. No guru though. Just a SWAG.
