Hopefully after Collins commits we can get Phillips and Key and then look to add a solid post.
I think it’a going to be pretty solid upgrades from what we had IMO. Other than Chandler obviously, but I’m very excited about Collins. A healthy Key to drop 3s as a first guy off the bench is never a bad option either!I started to question your math, but it’s correct. Adding Key and Collins with BJE still leaves 2 unfilled spots. It hard to keep up with the turnover. 5 open spots from KC, BHH, QD, Tamba, and Bailey. Fulk as #6 didn’t create a spot.
I hope they do find a solid big man. Maybe there’s one in Europe that’s under the radar.
Is Phillips still available?
I’m not sure, I’ve not heard anything yet, guessing they’ll look at every option…still HS guys out there, portal entries to come likely, international, hold the spot open.BTO, what’s our backup for Malik? Are we going to try to go overseas to fill the gap that BHH left?

Realistically if you land Collins, Key and Phillips I’m not sure that you “need” a big man addition, with that roster you need to really embrace small ball. Now if it’s a can’t miss guy ok, but I wouldn’t just take someone to take someone.
I think Hartman was his lead recruiter. He’s at Florida.Meant to mention last night, KyeRon Lindsay is a guy we recruited pretty hard and expected to get an OV from who ended up at UNLV, he just got his release from UNLV and is opening things back up. Georgia hired the assistant that recruited him to UNLV so thought is he may follow, but we shall see, I think Tennessee will reach out and gauge interest there.
Yea, that’s along the lines of what I was saying if you are to land Collins/Key/Phillips I’m not sure how much of a need for a post there really is. Your best players are mostly guards and wings so need to commit to small ball for a good portion of the time and and you’ve got enough posts with Nkahmoua back for that to be serviceable. Again if it’s a can’t miss guy you obviously wouldn’t say no, but like you said there aren’t many of those types out there. We're also in an interesting situation. With Uros and Aidoo returning it's unlikely a starting spot at the 5 is on the floor to win. Unless you land a truly elite big, and most of them are set where they are.
ON returning from injury as the likely starter at the 4 and then you have ZZ, Santi, and JJJ as your 1-3 guys. I think Yuri is likely going to start at the 1 spot if he's here, and ZZ will still potentially be an off the bench guy. Could potentially see us run small ball with ZZ, Yuri, Santi at the 1-3 and JJJ at the 4 with ON at the 5. But I don't know if that'll be a starting lineup option.
So really I'd say with how the roster is it's harder for us to attract quality portal players if they are wanting to be starters. Cause really the PG spot is the only option that's clearly open.
I mean Tyrese Hunter in the portal would be an amazing get at the PG spot as well, but if Yuri is coming I highly doubt Hunter is even willing to talk to us. I'd actually reach out to a couple of bigs that don't have much eligibility left just so you got the depth for this season so you can focus on landing more guys in the next class when more spots will be available. Kevin Samuel for me personally would be the top portal big I'd be talking to for that reason.
