You and every other team in the country lol
I don’t think he’s going somewhere to get worked into the lineupFor sure. His team being good for 20+ wins in both years he's been there and him being a double double machine with NBA size already will make him a big time target.
I feel like we could be a great landing spot for a guy like that though. Work into the lineup this first year when he isn't expected to just "be the guy" but then next year in his 4th year he could emerge as a 30 mpg guy for us if Uros/ON both leave. Play the 5 or 4 (if Aidoo is playing the 5) and have plenty of minutes to be productive.
I'm sure Kentucky will make a big push for him though. Being in their backyard.
Also, anybody who has a Twitter show Key some love. Not in a weird way asking him to come, but saying to enjoy your visit and stuff. The Texas Tech fans have been all up in his mentions lol. They really really want him.
I’m excited about Yuri. Granted, I don’t know much if any about him other than seeing stats and reading here. Love the assists and boards though! Seems like Barnes guy for sure. Some actual talent? Cmon man, people were complaining about not landing transfers or recruits, Yuri is pretty widely regarded as a Top 10 portal guy and that’s your take?
Would be a blessing in disguise more than likely. Might force Barnes hand on continuing to try two bigs when it’s not working. Plus, the guards all seem to rebound the ball well. He cares a ton about that.Yea, that’s along the lines of what I was saying if you are to land Collins/Key/Phillips I’m not sure how much of a need for a post there really is. Your best players are mostly guards and wings so need to commit to small ball for a good portion of the time and and you’ve got enough posts with Nkahmoua back for that to be serviceable. Again if it’s a can’t miss guy you obviously wouldn’t say no, but like you said there aren’t many of those types out there.
