The Greyhounds are DII team, so they should be a bit more of a challenge than Brevard. In their previous game, UI led Soutern Illinois at the half, but ended up losing 65-58, leading scorer was Darius Adams with 22.

They also got beat by Purdue, 82-59, Nate Blank had 18 and Adams had 16. They did force 20 turnovers against Purdue. We'll see what kind of pressure they can put on our ball handlers (Hopson).

The finished 12-16 last year, so they aren't anything special, but Adams is a preseason honorable mention D2 All American. Will be a good test for our half court defense.

Interesting fact:
The Greyhounds were tabbed by the GLVC head coaches to finish fifth in the GLVC East Division and are coached by a former pupil of Bruce Pearl, Stan Gouard.

I've seen middle schools run more effective zone offenses than the slop Pearl has got going on out there.

we will have earned this loss. how can we not get the ball inside? our guys are considerably bigger than they are. why are we content to throw up 3-pointers when they aren't going in?

It's an exhibition game. Syracuse lost to nobody in an exhibition game and had a great season. It happens, this is what the games are for. Of course it's not of much use with the effort is as bad as what we've seen tonight. We should be fine, at least I hope.

No excuse for losing this one but the "season" hasn't really started. Hell syracuse loses a game like this every year it seems like. If I'm not mistaking didn't Kentucky lose an exhibition game last year or year before that?

Guys...it's terrible, but it's preseason. UK nearly lost a few games last year to terrible teams and we all know the talent they had. Not saying we're as good as that UK team, but we still have to gel as a team. Remember, these guys haven't played together much.

It's disgusting, terrible, and awful, but we still have time.

To be honest, I'm not sure if this is a result of all the bad NCAA investigation stuff or what, but this team is just horribly, horribly coached right now. They might as well just be 5 random guys from the park.
