In the modern era (which I call the Green years on), we've not done well in tournaments, but under Pearl we actually got better. Made it to the SECT Championship, Elite 8, and won the preseason NIT.

Really digging a hole that's going to be hard to get out of. Need to cut it to singled digits by half.

And TN with the classic "Let's dribble out the 35 second shot clock for no reason whatsoever and shoot a horrible 3 at the end" play that we all love so much and always works (no it doesn't).

This team looks bad.

Basically, it looks like this team will win some games when the 3 is falling, and when it isn't, they're really going to struggle to score points. Every team is going to play zone against them because they have no idea how to attack it. Maymon will help obviously, but we still need guys who can hit jump shots and it doesn't seem like we have many.

Read my post. We should be getting him the ball more. I will say Stokes does not look like an NBA first round pick to me at this point though. Does not dominate in the paint yet like I thought he would.

defense is playing good enough, we are just having issues getting any kind of offense going and we have had some real bad bounces on the defensive glass that didn't go our way.

We have played like this for three games now which is why I was worried about it....it didn't show as bad against the bad teams we were playing....Hopefully we will start playing good soon....can't count on a run like last yr if we want to make the tournament.

I think most people would say their modern era goes back further. Of course, there wasnt an SEC tourney for years and they finally reinstated it in 79 and UT won it. Haven't won it since.

UT didn't do well in tourneys because their team usually stunk. It got better under Pearl.

We have not gotten the ball inside all half and that has to change. Jacking up 3's every time down does not make it easy to get a second look. We have got to get the ball in the middle and go to work in the second half or we are in big trouble.

Gut check in the locker room. Very poor half of basketball. Can Cuonzo make the adjustments to play to the team's strengths in the second half?
