Tennessee vs. Oklahoma State: Game Thread

I don't think we can blame pearl for everything. This program would be nowhere near where it is without pearl. We will be better next year and the recruiting class of 2010 is great. The freshmen will get better and TN will be an Elite 8 team next season. That's what I believe.

I'll take a puff of what you got there, thanks.

33 three point attempts by Tennessee

OSU had three starters with 4 fouls and we don't drive and take a chance at OT??

Take 33 three's when you have the other team in foul trouble? Even a YMCA coach would have his team driving to the rim.

Pearl's coaching can only be that he does not go deeper in to his bench. He let the starters try to shoot themselves out of a rut. But even going deeper causes problems with cohesion. Just a off year. C'mon ladies BB!

And to think 13 people picked the Vols to win it all in the Volnation contest.

Maybe the stars are realigning and Tennessee is supposed to be a good football school and suck at basketball?

Tennessee Men's Basketball Program = Fail

Right, cause clearly we didnt even make the tourney, win our division, or anything else.

In basketball, FAIL=sitting at home hoping the CBI calls your team to come play.

Pearl does have a little Fulmer in him, I'm afraid. When a team keeps doing things that aren't working, or that you shouldn't be doing, you or your team can only be described as dumb. Would coach K allow his center to keep hoisting up threes? Ummm...I'll take a wild guess and say NOOO!!

Got outcoached by a Kentucky grad. Sad. The team that beat us in the SEC tourney got schlacked. See a pattern? Fire the JO now!!!!!

Was at work and could not see last shot, was the 3 the best available shot to take or was it forced? I can't believe that was the shot when a 2 ties the game, sends it to overtime, and OSU riddled with foul trouble.

Tyler should have taken it to the hole from the top of the key, instead he dribbled around and got caught on a switch...turned around, had a decent enough look, and jacked a bad shot. But, that's the story of this team's 3 point prowess.

What's better...flameout in the 1st round or still playing ball in the Not Interesting Tourney? Not sure. They both aren't fun places to be.

You can't call losing in the last minute in an 8/9 game a flameout. I am sure every KY player would rather be in the tourney.

Again, he got tangled in the switch up on the edge, and when he got free/turned around there wasnt enough time to drive or get anyone open.

Tyler knows he can't make threes. That wasa desperation throw.

I was referring to the entire game, not the last play.

Again, you are talking about basketball IQ. Something this team does not have much of.

I think it was forced, didn't get to see it either.

11 of 33 from three
13 of 23 from non-three range

... that's it boys, keep clanging against the iron from three instead of driving and getting two. That'll win the game.

The TALENt to compete??? Who is coaching this TALENT? Who is recruiting this TALENT? Hmmm I'll wait for your answer.
we have no NBA players they had 1. There NBA player made his shot at the end, our talent missed his shot. Look guy, this team needs to take some of the heat. They don't listen to coaching. We are not a huge school for recruiting so he is doing the best he can. You want to get rid of him, fine. Tell me one coach that would come here and do better.

I am glad I did not skip work today to watch that loss. In a way, I am glad they lost today. That way I will not feel bad about skipping the Pitt game to play golf.

Pitt would have destroyed us anyway. At least we don't have to live through that game.

And, we haven't won the SECT since 1979. Cat fans keep coming up with new ways to deal with an NIT bid.
