Yeah, I almost put the adrenaline rush thing in my post, but as you mentioned, after the first series, the AR should have been over. Wet ball is a possibility, but the fact he was still overthrowing the wide open deep receivers by 5-10 yards, somewhat negates that theory.I'm going to hope that the wet ball bothered him somehow. He's been spot on in mop-up duty this year. If it was adrenaline, well you can't have an adrenaline rush all game long. That sure needs to get better, whatever the reason.
If Hooker cannot win the trophy, the next best QB in the nation this season was Bryce Young.
I don't care about his team losing 2 big games, he shined in both of them and every game he played. Hate all things BAMA (almost hate B1G and their ESPN hype machine as much), but watching him play this season, he and Hooker were giants compared to the rest.
Going to be weird to be pulling for Clemson in the ACC championship, but yeah. This all day. I'd much rather see us play Clemson than Carolina, where the game could be a strength-vs-strength sort of a matchup instead of strength-vs-Achilles heel. They can't throw the ball. UNC would be a way worse matchup.

I am a golfer with the putting yips. I’ve had them ever since I started playing golf over 55 years ago, and they’ve never gone away. It’s not an issue with mechanics. I’ve tried every conceivable grip, stance, and stroke. It’s not the putter. I’ve spent hundreds of dollars on every new putter to come along. It’s not a lack of practice. It’s just in my dang head. I’ll make a 40 footer and then miss a two footer on the next hole. Head games are hard to cure.It was his first start in a long time, and it was a must win game. Those things can make you nervous. Throw in the weather and his memory of overthrows on the vertical routes, and he might have never lost the jitters on those routes. Others have pointed out how well he throws on crossing routes and other routes, but the verticals give him problems. Maybe it's like a golfer who has the putting yips. Maybe I'm naive, but I'm going to flush this one and hope for the best in the future.
Yeah, I was once a sterling wedge player, then started shanking them and couldn't shake it for a long time, despite lessons, practice, etc. I was choking on those shots during rounds. It was maddening. Let's hope heupel - who they say is a qb whisperer - can do some majic on Joe between now and next season.I am a golfer with the putting yips.
