Yes, a fact that I've dropped on my Aggie friends, just to impress them (and turn them into closet UT fans).

I'd say Vandy is the better analogy. I don't come across a lot of Ole Miss alums, but the ones I've met seem okay.

Mississippi State alums and fans would, I believe, characterize the Ole Miss contingent as, perhaps not tea drinkers, but certainly mint julip consumers. They strike me as an anachronistic bastion, indeed perhaps the last one, of antebellum Southern gentility.

Yes, but there has to be some balance to it. MSU (and I probably wouldn't say this directly to my MSU friends) is truly a cow town. There are some true rednecks in that area. It is not like A&M that was characterized as blue collar with an emphasis in agriculture, engineering, and military. MSU just emphasizes agriculture- lol.
