As I've said before, I think the season comes down to the DL. They MUST perform well for us.

For no other reason than defensive upperclassmen will have their second year with the same scheme for the first time, we will absolutely see improved play.

1. QB play will probably be generally improved by itself because, by all accounts, they've all improved dramatically, as players should from year to year.
2. Our WR core will be much better this year and that will make any QB look better, but the combination of big, fast receivers we have gives me great confidence when they take the field.
3. People act like this O line is all freshmen or something, there's one freshman and it's apparently not out of necessity. These guys are sophomores and juniors as well. Physical strength and conditioning won't be as big of an issue as some believe.
4. I don't know if RB play will exceed last year's production, but with the up and coming talents we have there it should be good enough to keep defenses honest.
5. With Chris Weatherd now on board and Maggitt and Johnson back, I honestly think we'll see a decent to good pass rush this year, which will be way better than the past few.

7. Emmanuel Moseley and Cam Sutton will be a great pair of CBs, and Randolph will provide at least one good safety. Our secondary could be pretty good.

Overall, these combined elements should propel us to AT LEAST a bowl game, and anything beyond that is a great surprise. The most important thing is, even slight on field improvement and us making a bowl game will make Jones's recruiting even more amazing once results are apparent.

Totally agree. O/D lines may be biggest concern, but with a hungry Maggit back and lining up at DE at times pass rush should be improved. Skilled positions are improved through another year of recruiting and stability with CBJ. Optimistic about this season. Play will be improved may not translate into wins and losses. We will be bowl bound.

Optimisim welcome...glad to have you aboard!...you are right about new O/D lines being suspect,but these guys were recruited for their respective positions...they will be as good or better than their predecessors...imho

All I can say is I'd rather have a team stocked with talent and inexperienced versus an experienced team with little talent

Anything could happen, but it's more likely than not that we see more of the same from last year with all the youth and inexperience in both lines.

If the lines turnout to be better than expected and the QB play is above average, UT could win 8 games, but with the schedule they play, I think 8 wins is the ceiling for this team.

A Florida bowl game on New Year's Day would be very refreshing for this team.

Hopefully Worley can help make a difference as our QB.. WIth our O-line being young he is going to have a lot on his shoulders. The rest if the seniors will make a differnece I feel. And with the young talent we have maybe we can get something special going this year..
