Who seen Mizzou winning the division their second year in the conference, with lesser talent?

Anything is possible.

Because TK, Bates, and the Berry's are here. These are not your normal freshman. If Tennessee loses, these guys are gunna be hurt, sad, angry, for two or three days. They are the beginning of another decade of dominance. The days of mediocrity are over and I got a feeling they don't want to lose to bama.

There is no reason to believe that TN can't win the East next year. If you look at what we're losing, the oline and dline, but some would argue that the oline was overrated and the dline wasn't really anything to write home about.

We return our QBs, not saying much, but better then South Carolina and Georgia who have to replace QBs. We return most of our defense, and the skill position players. If you think about it we're in pretty good shape especially with the influx of talent coming in. Butch's previous coaching stops have shown that usually year 2 is the year that a big jump is made. At Cincy they went 4-8 his first year, second year they went 10-2. At CMU they went 8-6, 8-5 and then the third year 11-2. So if the trend continues I wouldn't be surprised to see TN make a big jump in wins, but I also wouldn't be surprised if we didn't see that big jump until year 3.

Having said all that, anything can happen, Georgia might get messed up by injuries again, FL might not be able to fix their Offense, South Carolina might have issues as well. Missouri I believe replaces a lot of their defense as well. So it's not out of the realm of possibility for TN to win the East.

The problem with this logic is that all of that would have to happen in the same year. We have at least another year before we contend I think.

You seem to forget who is coaching those QB's for South Carolina. And UGA won't be in as bad of shape as you hope.

As far as Butch making strides in year 2, I hope so. But this isn't CMU or Cincy.

It's not about Butch......It's the Legacies, they are the ones who will lead. They will earn many victories when most do not expect them.

Mizzou also lost some playmakers on offense.

Tennessee has a chance to surprise some people this season if things come together, but winning the SEC would take a magical season.

Utah St. Arky St. and Chatt should be auto wins

Vandy and UK... must I say more?

Florida... I mean just look at last year's Florida LOL that is winnable...

South Carolina.... This year's SCAR will have much less talent than last year's...

Missouri... Much like SCAR, losing lots of talent. winnable game...

UGA.... FINISH th eupset this year???

Ole Miss... can't see us winning this game... they are very talented...

Oklahoma... Very good team... I give UT a 10% chance...

BAMA... LOL no

that being said... My more realistic guess is that we win 6 or 7 games

While the thread might sound ridiculous... the SEC East is in our reach, even if it might take a couple miracles

I will happen if, and only if, the under performing players from last year's roster progress at an unprecedented level, and the newcomers are three times better than we realize. It will also require an unbelievable amount of luck.

Kentucky.

They had a great recruiting class and the players believe in their coach.

Their boys bleed blue and want it.

The rest of the teams in the east ain't that good and getting to Atlanta is half the battle.

It's kentucky's year.

But does Stoops, GET IT!?

That's a prerequisite for success.
