Tennessee's tough road ahead

Thought about sharing my wish list of W's, but that is all it is. And while measuring a team on W's and L's is for some all that matters, in a rebuilding year I am more worried about different letters of the alphabet. Like "A, B & C's in term Effort, Grit, Determination, Coaching, Teamwork, Tenacity and Finishing a game. If we get good grades in each of those, we will add on more W's each year - which will help recruiting and continue the cycle.

:good!:  :salute: :bow2:

Bama is at home.

Oklahoma isn't even in the SEC.

Tennessee whipped SC last year.

Butch Jones gonna outtrick coach mark rich with his mind because he's a damn smart genius.

Ole Miss is overrated.

Mizzou lost 50-60 players from last season.

No problem

You've now officially been here too long, started to sound like a local :)

We could beat everyone on that list except for bama(could possibly beat them). We will most likely win three of those games.

Beating Alabama at home will be easier than beating Oklahoma on their field but we wont do either.

We will most likely lose badly to Ole Miss. I bet this is one of the worst loses of the year simply because so many think we "should" win this game just because "they are ole miss". Very experienced QB at home against what might be a horrible defense. Like horrible on the level of Texas A&M.

We beat Missouri and Florida at home. Those will be our two "amazing" wins (lord, that is sad).

We will lose to UGA and USC on the road. I dont care how we did against them at home last year. On the road in the SEC with players as young and with the potential to disappoint in a major way as ours, there is slim to no chance of winning those games. We beat Vandy on the road, that is all.

We will win every home game except for Bama.

7-5 and a bowl.

Book it.

So we'll lose badly to Ole Miss because of what some of our fans say? I can't agree with that.

We beat 3 of those teams easily...

#2 Alabama
#4 Oklahoma
#9 South Carolina
#12 Georgia
#18 Ole Miss
#24 Mizzou

Side note: Florida just missed out at 27 and Vandy and Utah State got a vote

Three of the above, and easily to boot? You don't say old chap?

You have to figure at least a couple of those teams won't live up to that ranking. Doesn't mean Tennessee will beat them, but i don't put much stock in pre season rankings.

Tennessee has to avoid a upset in games they're favored in and steal one or two. Otherwise it's going to be another long disappointing year..

VN says star ranking are useless but preseason polls are spot on so cbj needs at least till 2016 to beat ranked teams..

BTW didnt we beat a ranked team last year????? Oh wait but no way we do that this year..

Wow. I knew it was brutal, but when you line up those teams with all of those single and low double digit numbers beside them...... only thing I can say is I hope we at least make a showing. I'm thinking six to seven wins this year but don't ask me where we get them. I have a feeling it is going to be a year of surprises, both in wins and in some losses. Wake me up in a couple of years.
