Doesnt surprise me. However the NCAA should rule that Pryor was ineligible if he doesnt serve his penalty and OSU should forfeit the Rose Bowl

this could come out to be true, but I'm with a poster from early on... I just can't believe a journalist worth his salt would not let this get by them:

But weather it was the notion of losing a half season next year, or the draft projections that moved Terrelle Pryor from a projected mid third round pick to a first rounder after his performance in the Sugar Bowl and the announcement that Andrew Luck was staying at Stanford, Pryor has apparently decided that the dollars outweigh the promise.

Great player, I love how he gutted it out in the Sugar Bowl even though his tattoo was hurting.

It's beyond me why Tressell claimed they played on condition of coming back. It was a stupid thing to say, and I can't see that it served any purpose at all.

He just wanted to make sure those wicked players of his would eventually receive their just deserts.

Really think he's going to sit on the bench half of next season because of suspention? No way! He's as good as gone.

if he actually believe Pryors word then that makes him a idiot. he probally knew all along that he wouldnt come back he just wanted to make it look better for them to play

Plausible deniability. I'd say he's anything but the stupid one.

I think this has less to do with him being an idiot, as it does him doing what he needed to do to win a BCS bowl game.

Does anyone know/have an idea to what the AA would do to OSU if these 5 guys do indeed go pro? Can they do anything at all since they accepted a punishment from OSU already?

The egg is still on the 'AA's face in this whole mess. They already laid down the punishment knowing full well the guys involved probably wouldn't be around to serve it.

I don't see what Tressell was trying to accomplish by stating the players had to come back in order to play in the game. What am I missing??

Trying to hide or lessen what looks like an obvious NCAA bias? Idk, that's what it looks like to me.

I agree with all that, my question is do they try to change the punishment to save face or do they just move on and brush it under the rug?

So the fictitious suspensions would actually impact them, which they don't do should the players enter the draft.
