Terrelle Pryor to Memphis?

This kid is playing games with all the schools. Personally I'm over the some recruits act. They feel like the world owes them everything.

Smart kid. He should get all the goodies and perks he can get now rather than sign his life away to soon to get some university rich. I don't see why more kids don't hold out longer.

According to the paper this morning, he is down to either Michigan or OS. They also state that his recruitment is the most hyped in college history....I agree. Please do not tell me the kid did not want some attention. He is center stage, and he loves it.:whistling:

How is he responsible for the fact that his recruitment is the most hyped in college history?

According to a guy on Rivals who has followed the story closely, Pryor is no media hound and he has rarely spoken to the media since signing day. Also, the guy's father had heart surgery during this time. There will be people on this board who bash any great athlete who choses to play anywhere but UTK, but there were definitely more facts to this story than most of us probably realized.

Rivals.com Football Recruiting - Final two: Pryor to pick this week

"A lot of people said he did this for the attention, but I know that's not true. He barely spoke to any media following Signing Day and some of the criticism really hit him hard. Once he decided to delay his decision, he wanted to wait until basketball was over to choose. It's over now, and it's decision time."

"I think he wanted to take his time and make sure he was making the right choice," Farrell said. "He respected his family's input, which is why he held off on Signing Day. His dad wanted him to give another look to Penn State. I know Terrelle talked to a few Western Pennsylvania guys currently on Penn State's team recently about the coaching situation up there and the atmosphere. He did some research on his own, and I think his dad is good with that."

Did Pryor ever attempt to get to Penn State for that official visit?

"I think he was going to take it the same weekend his father, Craig, had emergency heart surgery a couple of weekends ago," Farrell said. "There was a small window of opportunity to visit Penn State, but it didn't happen."

Because he is the only one that dragged it out another month....likes the individual attention:dance2:

Well, complain to the NCAA...not Pryor.

He has until April 1 to make his decision...every other athlete in the country has the liberty to utilize the same timeline. Perhaps, by taking the full amount of time available to him, Pryor is showing his self-discipline and resolve in not rushing to an important decision (despite the pressure to do so) rather than this unfounded narcissism that everyone keeps claiming.

I'd like to think there are at least a few people that wouldn't automatically assume the worst about a young man. If you don't know all the facts (or at least a few), you should probably withhold judgment. The one fact we've all known from the get-go was that this kid didn't choose to commit on the first day he was allowed. Evidently, that is the criteria several posters use to define a despicable human being.

I hardly think inferring that a young man is enjoying the
attention he is getting by delaying his choice of colleges is not quite the same as calling him names...especially despicable. :no:Saddam Hussien and Adolf hitler were despicable. God forbid anybody accuse a teenager of wanting attention. What could I have been thinking?:salute:
