Texas A&M has been trying to get into the SEC for twenty years now. We told them hell-no unless they bring Texas! What does a team that can't beat Arkansas bring to the table?

You're wrong on the interwebz.

Add A&M to the west and the Carolina Panthers to the east.

Division's hard enough already...we could use another cupcake on the schedule.

Slive said yesterday, nothing was up. As I said in my thread, the BoR does not meet until Thursday. What Slive speaks on will not involve Texas A&M University.

It will be swift, but not that swift.

Could be the formal "we're about to expand" announcement to put the rest of the college football world on notice.

Why would they announce that, if it has not even been approved of by the school in question?

1. Approval is merely a formality and the behind the scenes work is done.

2. If they say no then SEC looks elsewhere. Thus, expansion isn't hingent upon A&M.

Sure would be embarrassing if the ink isn't already dry. To my knowledge there's not a snowball's chance in Lubbock that its been agreed upon on our side.

It could be a media move. You know, kind of get the idea out there that the SEC is looking to expand.

Highly doubt it. It seems that the ideal way to expand is much like stealing horses, you want to be beating a path out of town before anyone knows they're gone.

We'll go ahead and disagree on that completely.

1. After what tu has pulled then if they turn it down again they are morons and I don't want them so it's probably moot. We all know they are coming sooner or later.

2. It may not be as sexy and may require another trip to the drawing board, but I don't see the SEC sitting idly by for too long after all of the moves last year.

That said, apparently the news/statements is going to be NCAA related. Could be interesting.

I dont see the SEC adding just one team. If they are going to expand they will add one on each side, and there have been no rumors of any kind that have lead me to think there is someone in the East coming on board.

A&M is going to happen someday. And I believe the SEC will also add OU and Okie St.

SEC Additions:
A&M
OU
Okie St
Texas Tech

BigTen:
Mizzery
Iowa St
Kansas
K-State

Pac10
Texas
BYU

Baylor replaces BYU in Mountain West

Of course, this is all just guesswork. But of all of the rumors I have heard, these make the most sense.
