Tech will never even sniff the SEC.

The longer I stare at that, the more I think Mountain West for Tech.

Im guessing that in all of this there will be some teams robbed from the ACC or Big East as well. So, maybe you pull in freeshoesuniversity or someone of that sort.

I think the 16 team superconferences are what we are looking at for the future.

4 divisions for Football. Division Championship game and then Conference Championship game, and that will be the closest thing we have seen to a true playoff since this whole mess started.

i think the most likely scenario has the sec expanding west, with 4 teams to keep auburn and bama in the same division. missouri, texas a&m, ou, and okie state seem like the most likely additions to me.

I would LOVE for the SEC to get Mizzery, because I dont want them in the Big Ten, but I think that is almost a done deal. Just waiting on other shoes to drop first.

or maybe even tcu instead of missouri to attract both the houston (tamu) and dfw markets.

I could see that happening. And I can certainly see TCU in the SEC before TTU. Hell, I can almost see tenn tech in the sec before tex tech!! :eek:lol:

But I think Mizzery wants to keep the link with Nebraska, and wants the heck away from OU. It also locks them up with the other cornholes in Iowa, which would seem to be a better match.

TCU literally just moved to the Big East.

literally?

moments ago?

sorry, couldnt help myself.

I dont see the Big East as being untouchable here. I see the Big East and ACC combining in some way to get a 16 team conference, and ditching those that they feel they need to ditch. TCU would be out.

Yes, literally. Moments ago, as in a few months ago. It's relative.

TCU will get left in the dust because they jumped the gun on getting into the Big East.

A&M will be in the SEC eventually. That's inevitable. When they will be in the SEC is the question.

I think that if we are just talking of adding A&M and maybe one other team, and the other conferences stay put, then you are right.

But I think that once A&M jumps, it is going to start a chain reaction that heads us directly into the 16 team superconferences.

BIG sixTEeN
SEC
PAC 16
ACC

Mountain West and some sort of Conf USA will take what is left.

and they'd crawl to the sec tomorrow, paying whatever exit fee.

I think you are right.

ALSO, what happens to ND? After turning down the Big Ten on 3 different occasions, I hope they get left out and have to head to the Mountain West.

i think notre dame's tv deal is too rich to join a conference. it's not like the ncaa is going to make them join one either.

Maybe ND and Texazz can make their own superconference. Simulcast their games every week on their two networks. And drift off into the sunset in each others arms.

Add A&M to the west and the Carolina Panthers to the east.

Division's hard enough already...we could use another cupcake on the schedule.

please WE in the SEC are all about making our divisions HARDER!!! *pounds chest* *smashes head through wooden board*

Nothing will happen to ND; they'll stay their independent selves as they always have while dumping their BBall program into another conference
