Maybe not but with our top 2 QBs returning and a 5 star coming in, why rock the boat that we have for a guy that’s pretty good at best.
I think 7-5 is the ceiling with Milton so if everyone is ok with a rebuilding year until the Rookie gets some experience then yeah.

The whole Jimbo as QB whisperer rep created with James Winston at FSU is starting to feel a lot like Eddie Fogler (Vandy BB who got 2 huge transfers from Duke and Indiana) and Gene Chizik (Cam Newton at Auburn). Guys who got big jobs and lucked out with a couple of big transfers who helped them win beyond their expertise, but long term they were failures. However in the meantime they traded their big year for big contracts.

Now what you hear about Jimbo is that his offense is seriously out of date. Strange thing for a supposed offensive guru.

Let me ask you....what was your ceiling this year? We still have what should be a recovered Tayven Jackson as a back up if Milton can't get the accuracy fixed between now and then. My hope is he shows vast improvement in whatever bowl game we end up in.

Because none have proven they can win games at the college level much less in the SEC
And the person posted about on this thread has? By your logic, no QB should ever get a chance to start for the first time. No matter how good they are, they have not proven they can win games at the college level.

I think his drinking has gotten the best of him

We have 3 QBs next season. Why do we keep starting these threads every time a QB enters the portal?
Because ideally you want 4 scholarship QBs on the roster... and we don't know if Milton will turn the corner and it is never ideal to start a Fr or underdeveloped RS Fr unless you are as loaded as Bama has been when doing it.

GO back and re-read the debates from Heupel's first spring and August. There was a contingent absolutely sure that H Bailey was the solution. Many if not most wrote Hooker off and especially after they brought Milton in. You had Shrout and Maurer in that conversation too. NOTHING turned out as most expected.

You need competition. You need good options.

. Everyone hopes Milton plays better! I would love to see him exorcise his demon arm and learn some touch. But it just hasn’t happened.
