Not really a good look for Beard when he says he has audio of the event, then the police ask if they can have it and he says “no”.

I despise men that put their hands on a woman. If she is recanting her story, she needs to be charged.
I read the story about the Principal that killed himself in California because he said his fiancé lied about him hitting her.
Once someone is accused publicly, it doesn't matter if they are innocent. The stain lasts forever.

The legal scholars of VolNation are on the case. Would be defending/preaching patience on any clown on our team for the same thing.

Torches and pitchforks !!
Oh maybe we should hold off a minute

I really think if your Beard, this provides you and your girlfriend an opportunity to end this amicably. Whether Beard is guilty or the girlfriend initially lied like she said, you are asking for it once your career is threatened when you stay with a person who might potentially get you fired and your livelihood is down the drain. No livelihood, no way to earn a living. Life experiences should make us smarter. Why stay in a life of drama like their aren't others you can date? We'll see what Beard does.

The latest statement from the fiancée seems to clear the felony strangulation charge but doesn’t really explain how she had an impression of his teeth in her forearm. Still looks pretty bad to me.

Agreed. If she lied or they misinterpreted her statements she has stained him forever. I don't see how you stay with a person that may ruin your life and then basically say I'm sorry lets forget about it when that emotional surge is up.

You realize if you charge her for recanting her story, you’ll only create more of those suicides right?

No one likes false allegations. But if you punish her for “recanting” (admitting her allegations are false), you’ll only have more falsely accused men. Not less.

Maybe Jon Voight (John Voight?) was there

I mean if she initially made a false claim. You can't falsely accuse someone, and then say My Bad and act like nothing happened.

Sure, but if you charge her, what happens to future women who lie?

The answer is simple. They never admit and more lives are ruined

True, better to ruin an innocent man's life today than some future speculative possibilities. Good call.

Lol what? The option I’m proposing ruins less lives by encouraging women who lied to recant their stories.

Penalizing someone for honest is about the dumbest possible option

I can tell you first hand that this story is true, because it happened to a family member of mine. A young woman who was upset about a guy sharing a naughty video of her on his phone with his friends, accused that guy of filming her rape in an attempt to stop him from continuing to show it. After several interviews with police, she finally cracked and told the truth. She was arrested on the spot and was originally charged with a felony. A good attorney got it knocked down to filing a false police report, and did two years supervised probation. They most certainly do charge women for lying about these things.
