Texas has the best SEC schedule for ‘24 I’ve seen

You’re saying playing neutral field is sane as playing on the road? And playing Ga at home is same as in Athens? Oh, and playing @ A&M is same as playing Ala at home? You’re wrong

Since the Texas/Oklahoma game has been played in Dallas for 99% if not all of its history, playing at a neutral field where the seats are divided evenly in a 100,000+ seat stadium, it always been considered a road game by both teams.

I'm factually stating that they have 7 common SEC opponents (out of 8).... and you are dead wrong when you try to argue that there is a significant difference in the strength of SEC schedules between Tennessee and Texas.

Are they exactly the same? No .... but in a 14 team league with an 8 game conference schedule, that won't be possible. It is silly to argue that there was some concerted effort by the SEC league office to give Texas a soft schedule. It's beyond paranoid.

Several media markets have confirmed my opinion that Texas has an extremely favorable SEC schedule. None have taken your position.

How do you know that there aren't members of the media who would agree that argument is ridiculous? Have you polled every media outlet in the south? LOL.

Tennessee and Texas have 7 common opponents out of an 8 game schedule. If they have a favorable schedule .... then we must have one as well.

Please attach anything that supports your stupid position. You can’t.

I already explained my position .... of the 8 SEC games that Texas and Tennessee will play in 2024, 7 of them are common opponents. That's just a fact that anyone can observe by comparing schedules.

You have not explained how the 2024 Tennessee SEC schedule is dramatically more challenging than what Texas will play ... and yet, you are proposing that there was some league office effort to give Texas a soft conference schedule?

DUMB.

My comment originally was only about the SEC portion of the schedule & how they could be in the SECCG vs a Ga or Ala winner. Non conference games do not determine who goes into the championship game. Stop trying to move the bar to defend your ignorance

Average toughness is 8.5 for the SEC. With 8 teams easier than that, 1 team dead on average, and 7 teams with worse.

Mississippi State has the worst SEC Schedule. play away games @ Texas, Georgia, Missouri, and Tennessee. Play 4 of the top 5. Oklahoma has a tougher schedule by rank, but more of their top ranked teams they play at home, and they are a better team on average.
Missouri's schedule is a freaking cake walk outside of @ Bama, Texas is the second easiest, and only has three true road games. Ole Miss is pretty easy too.

Auburn, Vandy, and Oklahoma both play 3 of the top 4 teams from this year.
Texas, Ole Miss, Missouri, LSU, only play 1 of the top 4 teams.

this is of course flawed because it goes on last years ranking, and it assumes that Texas and Oklahoma will have the same/similar success as they did last year. I expect them, to drop a little in the rankings.

there is only 1 stadium in the SEC where you COULD ever play ONLY in front of 50,000 hostile fans. I say could because its Vandy, and they don't sell out their own stadium.

It would still be considered a road game for a team playing at Vandy. Surely you aren’t that stupid.

a road game sure, just because its technically not our home stadium. a hostile environment that actually makes a difference? Lol never, pretty much every SEC team with a penny will have more of their fans there than Vandy does. at worst I consider it a neutral site game played in our state. even during the Franklin years they struggled to sell out.

A 50/50 neutral site game is far more hostile than a game at Vandy where your fans dominate
not sure why I didn't include this in my original post, but the largest Big 12 stadium outside of UO and TU is 63k. So from Texas and Oklahoma's standpoint playing in front of 50k hostile fans IS considered a true road game. and that would be considered terrible turnout in most SEC stadiums.

That guy must be a Vandy intruder or never been to a game at Neyland West. Vandy has about 10k total fans there usually. Sometimes it less. The other 20k or so are visitors. Texas will take over Dudley Field since it’s their first trip to Nashville.

Missouri and South Carolina call it Middle Columbia
