You know--as much as I think James Franklin is a douche--he CAN COACH....

And I think he'd be a great hire for Texas--don't think they would EVER do it, but I really believe he could win big there.

If Franklin finishes this season with wins against Georgia, Florida, and Tennessee you GOTTA think that one of these programs are going to want to give Franklin an opportunity!

A couple guys on their message board said after they strike out on Saban, and Shaw they should go after Cutcliffe.

I would love that for Cut but he may not want to ramble into something like Texas at this stage in his life...dont know...maybe he would take it but I kinda doubt it...

Colin Cowherd's big rumor regarding USC and Texas head coaching prospect

Didn't see this on the front page, but evidently Colin has inside information regarding the USC and Texas head coaching job search. He says he spent 90 minutes on the phone with a big time USC alum. According to this alum there are a couple of very prominent NFL guys in the mix, and one in particular looks to be emerging as the top candidate for both schools.

Erin on 104.9 surmised that is likely Harbaugh, if there is any truth to Colin's take, then I would like to agree with ERin.

That sounds suspiciously like the "Gruden to UT" rumors. "Big time alum" with "inside info"

Not saying Franklin can't coach, but you can't base much on the wins of Florida and Georgia. Florida literally gave them the ball game. I think they had 5 turnovers and most of the drives started in Florida territory. A down Georgia squad literally handed them that win. This is still a Vandy squad that struggled with Kensucky.

Why the hell would Harbaugh leave?

I still think it's Briles. I know he signed a huge multiple year extension but I think it's Baylors way of investing in its program because Texas won't blink at that buyout.

The 10 year no compete clause could be quite sticky. It applies to a limited number of schools in the state of Texas.

Out here in Colorado, the Jack Del Rio rumor to USC is aired just about everyday here.
