Thank you USC...

All I'm saying is that the last four years would have been better if Kiffin never came and Chavis never left.

I agree, only in the sense that, in this imaginary scenario of Chavis working for Dooley, Chief would've likely beaten DD into a coma and Tennessee would've had to pull the plug on Dooley sooner than they actually did. And, you're right, that would've been better than what we just endured.

If he had a quarterback who had his confidence at the beginning of the season, any semblance of an offensive line, or a better kicker, we beat Alabama. Against Alabama and Florida that year (both undefeated in the SEC), we lost by a total score of 35-23. The combined scores from the two previous years: 159-52. Don't act like just talent of that senior/junior class was the reason they did well that year.

Oh, and what did he do to fix those problems? He brought in a top QB, the #1 kicker, and a started building the O-Line.

I am amazed you are defending PUNK. He just got fired from USC where he was left with so much talent it was ridiculous. A State hung 62 points on them, that is more than Oregon hung on us.

He is a pathetic joke of a coach, his record of burning bridges and getting fired speak for itself. That and the infamous Al Davis letter sent to UT after we hired him.

Just think where we would be if the Trojans didn't "steal" the punk away from us when they did. Punk learned a few things on what not to do while here but if he stayed there is no doubt he would have completely destroyed the program. I know we are at rock bottom now but at least we are still able to field a team. He would have gotten us the death penalty.

What you say about Kiffin destroying the program is very true. Luckily, we got Dooley to come in and finish the job for him after he left.

How's the Ol' D looked since he left?
How's the Tiger D looked since he arrived?

It's amazing how much more seriously you take your new job once you've been fired from your old one. The complacency left the second he got the pink slip. Glad he's got that spark and doing well.

I was writing about when punk took the USC job. He walked into a much better position than Doofus did.

He failed at USC just like he did with the Raiders and would have with us.

The "punk" did what most anyone else would have done, leave a program he wasn't really vested in when home came calling. Jesus, you hilljacks are a jilted lover bunch.

We got the death penalty. It was called Dooley. That was as bad as any penalty the NCAA would have ever handed out.

I can't not imagine what our team would have been like with Kiffin coaching...
QB: Bray
RBs: Brown and Oku
WRs: Rogers, Hunter, Ambles

give me that offense all day

Yeah but he left! I got on here thinking we were going to make fun of Kiffy! It reads more like the "Blow Lane Thread!":whistling:

You do realize that, while having a phenomenal first string is great, those scholarship sanctions make the 2-deep pretty damn miserable, right? When you play against a hurry-up offense like Oregon or Arizona State, you HAVE to be able to rotate in players who will have fresh legs. USC could either leave in the stars who tire quickly, or switch to the 2nd-team scrubs.

Our depth would probably be better had Lil Kiffie stuck around. The constant turnover put us in this position. But no doubt in my mind butch is the the better coach. In time I think he'll bring us back
