Thanksgiving Boycott

One of my friends posted this on her Facebook page: Here's A List Of Stores That Will Open On Thanksgiving

Huh? Thanksgiving's been killed, and I didn't even know about it. Drama much?

I agree. You make the choice to shop, or not shop. End of story.

I will prob head out to Kohls after midnight with the wife so she won't be by herself. She does most of her shoping there. Then my dad and I usually spend the next morning together hitting up Lowes, Home Depot, and Northern Tools.

As a fellow night shifter I should be able to purchase alcohol in the morning after I get off of work without being looked at like I have a drinking problem. Down with the man and his bible belt laws!

Haha! I remember getting off work at 6:30 am when I was working nights. Local stores couldn't sell beer till after 7:30am. Just had to shake my head sometimes.

It's ridiculous. The town I used to live in wouldn't sell after midnight. So I would have to drive a 1/4 mile away and buy some beer at another gas station across the city line. Makes no sense. Not everyone is an 80 year old baptist. Some of us don't live the normal dayshift schedule. I should be able to buy a beer and sit on my couch no matter the time of day. I should sue for discrimination. Where's Nerd when you need him? I need a good lawyer.

You ever consider stocking up the fridge before work?

There is an easy solution to voice your (our) opinion of retail stores being open on Thanksgiving: don't go out and shop. Supply and demand, my friend.

We drill oil wells 365/24/7. Remember that when you're boycotting the gas stations that are open that sell you gas on a holiday...stupid people...

That's the thing. No boycott on gas stations, restaurants, TV, theaters, etc.

Just department/discount retail stores.

It's weird.

do you always take the tack of posting in a passive aggressive manner like a 16 yr old girl?
