Greatest collection of players ever to put on the same uniform except that Laettner fella who absolutely did nothing to help.
That's why it was worth watching.
The dream team was amazing. The backups would have won gold, and IMO the backups could have beaten any US team assembled before or since...other than christine Laettner, who i am sure is college HOF, that entire 92 roster was NBA. HoF players...many the best to ever play their position, period....was a great joy to watch them even though a "close": game was a 30point win...wonder how many league MVP awards, scoring titles, rebounding titles, assist leaders, defensive POY awards etc were on that team?

Never been as much talent assembled on any team, in any sport, as the 92 team. NBA career leaders in points, assists, and boards, the best white dude to ever play on the NBA, and my favorite and the most versatile player all time...6 ft 9 inch guard Magic, the only player to ever play all 5 positions in the NBA...and look good doing it.
Think about the players who DIDNT make that team..Reggie Miller, John Starks, Larry Johnson, Tom Chambers, Kevin McHale, Robert Parrish, Hakeem Olajuwon, Anthony Mason, Tim Hardaway, Bill Laimbeer, Isaiah Thomas, etc etc...all of the All stars that weren't invited...they too wpuld have won gold...the 3rd team, lol...
Sucks that today's players are too selfish to play together like that, and unwilling to even try...we should be fielding a team that wins every game by 30 points every olympics
