Lawns are an environmental waste, an ecosystem desert, and an incredible waste of resources in most of temperate US, where untold $$$ is spent trying to arrest the soil in the developmental stage of prairy when it's naturally trying to grow to forest. That's what weeds, brush etc is trying to do--that evolution of stage. And we spend a lot of money trying to arrest that development. It also causes a lot of energy usage since we have to run the AC more to cool down super-heated homes that could be in forest shade.

They are definitely in the heritage of rich whiteness, since they developed in old Europe among the elite upper class to show off the fact that they could dedicate such large parts of their estate to beauty as opposed to raising food.

With all that said, it's ridiculous to cry about racism and claim it's devil white cultural enforcement. Don't want a lawn? Use the space for something else. Stop being a victim and have the courage to break out of the mold you think is being enforced on you instead of just crying about the mold you think is being enforced on you.

It's pitiable, and not in a good way.

That’s just overt racism. Couple that with the fact that she is an idiot talking about cultural appropriation with skiing and golf. Who invented basketball? Who invented football? Moron. #cancelwhitepeople
