That's racist!

You're living in the ATL now? Enjoy the traffic my friend
I live in the Senoia area, work is in Hampton. Easy country road commute; no interstates.

I see the people trying to get on 75 to go to work in Atlanta, F that noise. Gonna try and avoid visiting Atlanta itself for as long as possible.

You’re not missing anything.

I stay as far way from the healthcare system as humanly possible.
I read today that at Vanderbilt hospital recently, a nurse gave an elderly patient Vecuronium, instead of 2 mg of Versed for her anxiety. Unfortunately, Vecuronium is a drug that Tennessee uses for lethal injection. They buried the patient. Another reason to stay away from the medical profession.

I just read today that Kansas(I believe) recalled all their license plates that started with J A P because some Japanese American took offense. They went sequentially with JAN, JAO, then JAP and 3 numbers afterward. I wonder if some Marine gets pissed when he says JAR.

Edit: I didn't notice that Boca had already posted this about license plates. Sorry.

Funny story along those lines. Overseas in Germany, the largest local city or town serves as the first two or three letters of the license plates and is followed by two letters and then numbers. When I was at Spangdahlem, the nearest city we used was Bitburg, which happened to be the code BIT.

Then followed by two letters starting with AA and moving up in the alphabet. Eventually, they got to CH and issued a bunch of those plates to the Americans stationed there.

I say the Dr. Pepper halftime tuition challenge is racist. Today I've seen 2 white students beat 2 minority students. Gotta be rigged.

Why does a hospital have lethal injection drugs?

Why does a hospital have lethal injection drugs?

It’s used in prepping you for surgery . It keeps your body or muscles from moving . The hospitals don’t “have lethal injection drugs”, it s more like the process for lethal injection is based on drugs that work really well ( in a humane way) that are in use in the medical field . If that makes sense .

There is no way a knowledgeable nurse can’t tell the difference between (Norcuron) vecuronium and (midazolam) versed. I have to have a physician or anesthesiologist in the room when I vec an intubated pt. Vec comes in 10mg and versed in 4 mg. They must have pretty lax policies for this to happen.
I would have questioned giving an elderly woman 2 mg versed for anxiety because that’s not what versed is for.

There was a link to the story yesterday on the Drudge Report. It said that the woman was put into a PET scan machine whereas protocol called for her to be observed after being given medication. I don't know what protocol is but they said the nurse violated it. VE was written on the order if that means anything. There is a wrongful death lawsuit. You might be able to google the story.

I just read the report. The nurse did an override before the pharmacist ok’d the drug. She’s in big trouble.

The third leading cause of death in the US is accidents, which includes medical accidents. Something to mull over when you’re lying in a hospital bed.
