The reason this stuff gets the press it does is because the media and the Trump haters want to believe so badly that this is how your average Trump supporter is. They will swallow a lie whole because it confirms the assumptions they have and they finally have “proof” they can point to and say see you ARE terrible people and this proves it. When reality turns out to be something quite different the responses are either a)Trump/his supporters drove the person to act this way or b)It was so believable because this is how Trump supporters act.

When they finally pin Smollett to the wall my bet is he says something along the lines of he felt a duty to protect gay black people and he knew this would help raise awareness and perhaps save a life when the MAGA murder crews roll through midtown looking for prey. He will be a liar and a criminal but for such a stunning and brave cause.

When Jussy gets nailed to the wall 2 things could happen. He happily accepts his time in prison or suddenly goes to some sort of rehab.
