I don't think you have to be a full blown racist to say something racist. You could just be ignorant like Ball. My White colleague and I discussed and he felt like you. I think it was inappropriate and racist. It was not treated the same as if White person said something due to historical reasons we both know. If a White parent said the team lost because of Black players being stupid or something it would be racist. Its the same thing to me. I don't like it.

Also who you marry or sleep with doesn't make you not racist.

10 dollars an hour is every fill a chick in Charlotte tmk....i know of a couple of McDonald's that start at 10 also. Don't know how many of them do...money is out there to be made. My first job was bagging groceries for 4.25....my first construction job was framing laborer at 6 bucks an hour...working like a Hebrew slave.

I have repeatedly said that people from any race or political ideology can be racist. The majority of racist in the US are conservatives. Check any poll or study on race by political ideologies. I know reading isn't your strong suit though. I might be asking too much of you.



I don't think anyone that disagrees with me about anything is an uneducated, ignorant, racist. When it comes to race issues those of you that deny racism or only see the "reverse racism", or think BLM is a hate group are either uneducated, ignorant, racist, or a combination of the three. That is just a fact.

I don't project anything. I tell the truth. Some of you say flat out idiotic and uninformed things. I just try to enlighten the less informed.

I don't mind hearing opinions I don't agree with. I can debate civilly. I am not going to allow people to say or do racist or bigoted things without calling them on it though. That isn't intolerance. That is just shining the light on unacceptable behavior in the year 2017. Some of you need to catch up and stop thinking like its 1935.

I did 120 days in jail in charlotte NC at 17 years old because a couple of buddies and myself ran up a few stolen credit cards. Cops had video that showed 3 of us, but only could identify me. I got the book thrown at me because I wouldn't rat them out. Was in a 48 man pod with me and 1 other white guy, 46 black guys. Woke up every single day wondering which one was gonna try me that day just for being white. Spent a lot of time in the hole (solitary) for fighting. Wouldn't let my mom come see me because I couldn't hide the occasional black eye or busted lip. Unless you've ever had your ass whipped by 4 or 5 white guys, repeatedly for a few months, just for being black....I dont want to hear you or D4H talk about racism. Can't hold a candle to what I lived, when I was just a kid. I still judge all people as individuals. I thank my little sisters for that though. Honestly if it weren't for them I would probably hate black people. Not because of some bullcrap that happened 200 years ago like slavery, but because I have seen, smelled, tasted blood, and felt what they are capable of today when the tables are turned and they are the majority. Think about that next time you are in a crowd of 50 white people. Wonder if anybody punches you in the mouth for being black? I get so tired of hearing about "racism" every single day now in the news. They dont know what racism is. Never seen the real thing.

yeah I am just going to stop you right there.

the arts require none of intelligence, education or class. I have found that often times it is quite the opposite. about the only place that might hold true are some of the old high arts and musicians who aren't as liberal as you are thinking. I am talking big bands, orchestras and the like.

academics usually can't function in the real world, hence the saying "Those who can't, teach." While there are certainly tons of academics who meet your standards, you only find them at the top. How many have real world experience in their field? How many were actually successful in their field before they went to teaching? Too many these days are just going straight to teaching without one clue if what they are teaching is actually needed/useful in the real world. so all that education falls flat or serves only to build up the academic world

and scientists certainly meet your requirements but often fall into their own little world too, with only limited contact with the rest of us.

Engineers tend to be conservative, doctors and nurses are generally a mixed bag but I would say in general lean conservative (but that could be because of the area). A lot of city planners and designers have liberal ideas but work in conservative ways. Public transit, affordable housing but to make the city more self sufficient and not reliant on larger government money/involvement. working with the industries in the area instead of imposing standards.

not sure you get to claim any high ground with the ones who tend to lean one way or the other.

There was a dark time in our past when racism was alive, well and rampant. But today; well, I believe the term has been bastardized to the point that most folks don't really know what it truly means; nor do they tag others appropriately. In that regard, I don't think there are that many racists walking around among us. There are more than enough out there...that's for sure...but the label has lost its meaning due to over and extraneous usage.

I do think bias and prejudice exist, but it's not as simple as pure racism. I think it's more along the lines of ethnocentrism, which can lead to racism...but is actually quite different. We tend to group associate ourselves with those who have the same values, cultural backgrounds, religion, etc...which, unfortunately, or not, seems to appear along primarily racial lines. In today's age, it's more about what is ethnically, socially or culturally acceptable within various demographics than merely the color of ones skin.

Doctors, lawyers, construction workers, educators, those in the military, etc. tend to associate more closely with others in the same field. Likewise, folks that go to the same church may interact more with one another. Heck, you even have subdivisions within these groups based on where someone went to school, how much they make, specialty and which neighborhood they live in. That doesn't make someone a racist...it's simply human nature to associate more with people who have common interests and beliefs.

I'm intolerant of those who have no respect for others - across a broad spectrum of situations and circumstances, which includes shoving their agenda down my throat. That doesn't make me a racists...I just choose to ignore and not associate with a$$holes.
