When the study is conducted by the People's Republics of Ann Arbor and Berkeley and trotted out as an "academic study," I'm not sure another verdict would be expected.
Jane Fonda didn't know she was supposed to be offended by the tomahawk chop at Braves games until someone told her it was offensive.
Many of those polled could've been similarly swayed.
Who knows?
