It’s good he was caught and I hope he gets the max sentence. Not sure why they didn’t have enough evidence to charge him with a hate crime. No point in having “hate crime” laws if they’re going to be selectively enforced.

Always nice to get another democrat off the street before November. It’s good he was caught and I hope he gets the max sentence. Not sure why they didn’t have enough evidence to charge him with a hate crime. No point in having “hate crime” laws if they’re going to be selectively enforced.

What a miserable group of people we’ve turned into. I should say they’ve turned into. Cancel culture people are the worst. What a miserable existence to actively look forward and backward for anything that could possibly be construed as offensive. The worst version of these people are the ones who are offended on behalf of other people that dont even GAF
I think a lot of people sell with good intentions, I.e. improve the neighborhood. What they don’t realize is that it will price them right out of the neighborhood with the increase in property taxes.I've never understood the crying about gentrification. If you don't want people moving into your neighborhood, don't sell. It's easy. It's not like white folks are laying siege to these houses.
It's usually not the locals selling that starts the snow.I think a lot of people sell with good intentions, I.e. improve the neighborhood. What they don’t realize is that it will price them right out of the neighborhood with the increase in property taxes.
In addition to bank or city owned, landlords hold those, too. It's usually not the locals selling that starts the snow.
In bad neighborhoods you can see easily 25% of houses abandoned. Owned by a bank or city. Someone that doesn't sit on property.
Developers can come in on the cheap to buy empty houses. They fix up and sell for a profit to someone moving in.
That starts the snowball. Eventually you do get locals pushed out.
Unless you get some type of income/price cap those early successes build naturally.
So unless you find someone willing to operate at pretty much no margin it's a double edged sword.
