Most people are only looking at things from one perspective and being reinforced in their beliefs by listening to their echo chamber of choice. Maybe this guy would've shot a black kid for riding a bike on his lawn, maybe not? Maybe someone who chases down and shoots a black guy who they suspect of being a serial burglar in their neighborhood would have done the same thing to a white suspected burglar? Maybe a cop who puts a knee on a black suspect's neck would do the same to a white suspect? It's very rare that anything happens with direct evidence of racial animus as significant contributing factor.

I think it deserves the same if not more coverage than these two got when nobody was shot. They got national coverage for several days for doing what? Nothing.

Who knows what could be going thru a deranged person's mind. He knew it was wrong or he would never had fled immediately. It sickens me to the core for something like this to happen and it makes no difference as to the color of the child or shooter-it is completely beyond any levels of human decency. The mainstream media ignoring this is boder-line criminal in itself. When you do selective reporting then you are no longer a news agency. You have a propaganda machine creating false imagery to suit their individual objectives. They no longer deserve to be called or have the privileges of a news agency.
